Preliminary Group Class
For all new students who would like the opportunity to learn the basics of an instrument in a group setting. All beginners go through the same curriculum to fast-track education before beginning private lessons. This class teaches reading music fluently, rhythm and technique in a fun and group setting to help students get a solid foundation. Students may test out of this level if they have had prior musical training.
The Preliminary Level Group Lessons can last anywhere from two months to a year, depending on the age, music background and learning style of the student. The goal for this level is to gain the most important foundational skills. Once these skills are mastered, and the student can pass the Primary Level Test, they are encouraged to begin private lessons.

Music Fluency Classes - A B & C
Harp Exploration and Music Fluency - These classes are great opportunities for anyone wanting to explore what it’s like to play the harp and for any musician wanting to become fluent in their sight reading. Most students do not read music as quickly as English. These classes are skill-based to help students master reading and speaking music.
Music Fluency - Assessment for Classes - Teachers will provide an assessment of each student in the academy to see which class would best suit them. Classes are recommended until the student is fluent in reading music as fast as English. Assessments will begin at the end of May to help students get placed into the proper class. Classes begin in June and will be ongoing.
There are three levels of Music Fluency Classes - A, B, and C. Students may test into one of the three or test out of all three depending on their level. Read Here for more information.
