Samantha Garvey Mulgrew has been a classical style harpist for more than twenty-eight years, specializing in orchestral, theatre, and ensemble playing as well as performing professionally all over the Bay Area. Some groups she has performed with include the YMTC, Stockton Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, Island City Opera, Verismo Opera, Diablo Valley Philharmonic, Ohlone Wind Symphony, University of California Berkeley Summer Symphony, San Jose State Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Band, Awesome Orchestra, Opus Project, and the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra.

Along with a love of performing, she teaches private harp lessons all over the Bay Area to students of all levels and ages. She also has had the pleasure of being an assistant conductor of the Windsong Harp Ensemble and the San Jose Youth Symphony Harp Ensemble.

Samatha Teaches on Zoom for Bay Area Harp Academy and in person at her own studio in the East Bay called Fancy Fingers Music
